Pillows have many uses.
Pillows to give the right support to the neck and head as well as your
spine.
Pillows play a big roll in our nightly and consequently daily comfort. We
spend about one third of our life in bed resting and or sleeping.
When buying new pillows how often do you give it any thought as to the
quality of the pillow, the firmness or the depth? Most of us use a
pillow
or pillows at night to sleep.
What is important is that you choose the right pillow such as a memory foam
pillow,
a
down/feather filled
pillow, or fiberfill pillow.
The down/feather filled pillow and fiber filled pillow come in different
fill weights to meet individual needs. There are other pillows that can
also be used to support our neck and align or spines.
Like most of us, you probably have spent a night in a hotel or motel, while
traveling on holidays and only wished you would had taken one of your
own pillows along. I know sometimes you get a room that has

pillows as flat
as a pancake and wonder how stiff you will be in the morning, if you fall
asleep that is, I know from myself that if the pillow is a poor quality
falling asleep takes hours and waking in the morning is a pain in the neck.
If you use the right pillow, likely you will not wake up in the morning with
a stiff neck. When buying a pillow take this into consideration:
-
depth from your shoulder to
your neck, for proper support,
-
do you like a soft pillow or
a very firm pillow
-
if you have allergies,
always see what materials the pillow is made of.
A pillow is often used as a
decorative pillow for the bed. When you have many of these pillows they give
you the designer look. Then you have:
-
body pillow
to snuggle up to and wrap your legs and body around
-
floor pillow for sitting on,
-
ring bearer pillow used at a
wedding to carry the rings on
and many, many more.
There are different types of
pillows: there is
-
-
-
tempurpedic® pillow,
-
kidney bean pillow,
-
The list goes on, which shows
how versatile a pillow is and all the uses it has and the different types
and materials pillows are made of.
Some pillows can be laundered.
If you have pillows that allow laundering, remember to put only one pillow
into the dryer with a couple of tennis balls. The ball bouncing
around in the dryer helps fluff up the pillows.
